Machine Safety Directions in Australia

The area of machine safety in Australia is generally not one of the best addressed aspects of Australian Occupational Health and Safety. While many organisations do cover this area extremely well, others have a lower level of machine safety compliance, or in some instances, none at all.

Kenneth Roberston - Machine Safety Specialist at ABB Australia has published a White Paper that is interesting and a must reading for anyone interested in Australian machine safety. The paper talks about AS 4024.1501—2006, EN 954-1 and EN ISO 13849-1 and how these can affect Australian businesses.

The paper can be downloaded from here.
